Crash Bob is the eternal optimist. Every bad situation starts with, "I can save it!" and somehow ends with a handful of broken parts and a long walk back from the runway. But for Crash Bob, the real performance begins after the crash. He'll explain how the wind changed, the sun got in his eyes, the battery shifted, the radio glitched, the elevator wasn't trimmed quite right, or how the airplane "just did something weird." By the time he's finished analyzing every possible reason except pilot error, he's already convinced himself the next flight is going to be perfect. Every RC pilot has been Crash Bob at least once... some are just better at explaining it than others.
